Damn you could almost lay claim to being one of the first Ags on here (even though I know you didn't start as a TAMU fan)
Yeah. So on 2009 (my freshman year) when Kansas State (who sucked) killed us, people trolled me so bad, and I had no Aggies to back me up. And the worst thing was that I had LSU in my screen name. No chance. I had a bit of a meltdown. Not gonna lie. People would post the score in like every thread I started.

Sports have always been my life from age 6 or 7. Never cared for drugs or drinking. I guess my high is a great game. Football, basketball, baseball (sometimes), even soccer. If it's on, I'm watching.
This is so true for me, too. Even now I'm not supposed to be playing pick up ball, but I can't give it up. Don't have any other real vices. Don't gamble, don't drink much, have never smoked or done drugs, but sports are my weakness.
I'm happy as a lark either playing or watching.

Alright. Bed time. I gotta get some sleep, so I can stay up late tomorrow. Fricking 930 tips suck.

Dayum that's rough
I remember that game. Was watching it on my laptop in Evans library. Was one of the fee times that Aggiebelle came to "study" with me that semester and she kept on wondering why I was cussing a blue streak under my breath
I'd just gotten started on TexAgs the year before, along with PtR

Amen dude. That's why I love this board in particular. Sports fans unite and talk sports the way men are supposed to, damnit.
*read my post about the Spurs in the other thread. Tell me what you think*

On the Texas A&M Sports Board. Look for "Old Army FightCast" threads. Just me and one of my old roommates shooting the shite
Here's a link to the latest show. We usually post them weekly: LINK

Man, I have to watch my emotions when talking Spurs basketball

Yea, basically. It has just been soooo long, especially for Timmy. I mean I'm 35 and this guy was playing for the Spurs when I was still in high school! Unbelievable really.
It is very difficult to imagine the Spurs without those guys.

Yeah i was 9 when Duncan was drafted. Almost 27 now and he's still truckin'.
Pretty incredible how he and others like him who have long careers find the motivation to come back and play at such a high level year after year. Especially someone Ike Duncan who really doesn't have anything to prove to anybody.
Athletes like that are jut inspiring no matter whose laundry they're wearing

I have to say, I don't think I'm going to miss them.

Well said and totally agree. He had every right to walk away after last year's revenge against the Heat. Go out on top like a king. But that's not Tim Duncan, that's not how he made it this far, and that's not his style. He's got my respect.

I don't even think Timmy will get a farewell tour like Jeter (add Derek to the list
). Not his style.
Hardest part of all this transition as a sports fan is appreciating how great past performances were while still being able to appreciate contemporary sport without denigrating or pining for the good old days. Gotta keep it balanced to make it enjoyable n IMO.

My office is based in Chicago. HR sent out an email yesterday saying you can wear Chicago Bulls attire, or anything red and black today to support the team tonight against the Cavs
I wore my red and yellow Houston Rockets t-shirt that thankfully has "Rockets" written in black font
WINNING
