Until they stopping putting a quota of players in each year, if you have a decent career then you will get in. Only players that are worthy should get in, no this 7 every year garbage.

The Selection Committee meets annually at the time of the Super Bowl to elect new members. There is no set number for any class of enshrinees but, the Committee's current ground rules do stipulate that between four and seven new members will be selected each year. The 1973 and 1976 classes of three were the smallest ever named.

BS.....if you have to say....hmmmm..not sure...then that probably means he doesnt deserve it.

If you are watching the player....you should know IF he is or isnt. Which is why the HOF is BS....they dont want to hurt anyone feelings so they let them all in eventually.

If Swann and Stallworth got in, then so should Hines.

You dont have to induct 7 players every year in football, they can vote in as few as they want

When is the last time the Baseball HOF had more than two in any year??? I can't recall. And after the initial enductees. They have NEVER had seven in one year.

All three of those should be in. But Ward may get in after a few years JUST cause he played for the Steelers. I will say this. He was one of the best blocking WR's in history.

Here are the wide receivers from the last ten years who I would put in the Hall of Fame before Ward.

Randy Moss
Terrell Owens
Marvin Harrison
Isaac Bruce
Jimmy Smith (An underrated, forgotten all-time great, Smith always killed my Ravens)
Chad Ochocinco (Attention-whoring personality aside, Ocho led the AFC in receiving yards four consecutive years despite playing twice a year against the two best defenses in the NFL over the last decade, definitely deserves to get in the HOF before Hines)
Torry Holt
Andre Johnson
Larry Fitzgerald
Reggie Wayne
Calvin Johnson- Premature at this point but does anybody doubt that he'll finish with a better career than Hines?

So that's basically eleven receivers who are better and I'm sure there will be more by the time Ward is eligible for induction. Ward has very little shot of getting in and if he does get in, it won't be for a long time.

I agree with everything you just said. My post was about the fact he played for the Steelers. Like it or not it makes a differrence.

No but I think he eventually gets in because of who he played for.

Once Cris Carter gets in, then maybe Ward should get in.

If Ward played Chiefs or Broncos, ESPN wouldn't have said this. He doesn't belong in the Hall.

If you have to think about it........that is a NO! I use that for HOF talk all the time. Or if you have to look up the stats....then NO again!

Glad you don't have a vote. That is terrible reasoning.

The Steeler hall of fame, sure.

Not the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Not in my opinion, at least.

What???
So does ESPN try to say that EVERONE that retires is a Hall of Famer?

I NEVER ever considered him a HOFer while he was playing....just a good player.

If you arent even in the Top 10 players at your position WHILE you were playing....how are you a HOF????

God I hate ESPN. I guess Lin and Tebow are already a HOFers too?

This guy doesnt like asians lol
