They wouldn’t have any titles

Like the year catholic beat #3 Brother Martin, #2 Evangel, and #1 and ranked top 25 team in the country Rummel in consecutive weeks in 2015?

Other than Brother Martin for some reason, Catholic high has absolutely owned the New Orleans Catholic league since the split.

Would rummel or Jesuit have any ?

In 2012 would raiders have beaten WM had shows not had issues?

I was at the game, and the Referees should have stopped time to get the Bronco players out of the pile as they lay there slow to get up, to check the spot and then signal TD or not. Then they could allow them to get set to start time as it should run naturally. It took them until 4 seconds left as time ran off with everyone looking around at each other to signal no TD. By that time Zachary players were literally timing the run off the field ETA that Zachary has the youngest dang defense they have fielded for a semifinal team since their ran began years back. #70 who is a freshman is going to be a bad mother freaker. Kameron Hamilton 6'4" 280 Freshman. God they are young across the board. Acadiana will likely wreck their world, but next year they are going to be as good as Acadiana is this season with the talent returning for Zachary. That is how I saw it.

That’s not how it works, they only go in and stop clock if a team is deliberately not clearing If no official signal td it’s no td average time between plays. 15 seconds

If one official has td he signals it.

Did the wing officials not signal that it was the next down or raise hand indicating spot? That is the mechanic - not giving TD signal is also pretty clear

Thats fricking dumb

They have beaten 5a state champ Zachary multiple times since the split

A combined 5A is a different animal for everyone. You're also playing 5 games to win it all. It's reasonable to think they fall one of those years, but they're still one of the best teams since the split.

He runs a 4.9 40. Tulane hasn’t even offered him

He's small as well, not 6' as listed, and he may weigh 165 lbs. He's definitely no Ja'Mar Chase coming out of H.S., even though he has another year.

Could be a nice little surprise coming with one of the select title games

Bruh, are you out your mind?

He’s standing next to a guy that’s 6’5”. Jack is 6’1” and over 200. He’s big strong and physical. And if you haven’t seen him play he has a knack for going up and catching the ball at his highest point.

He may not be LSU caliber, but he’s a very very good receiver.

No one signaled TD as the bodies unpiled. Ruston was almost expecting touchdown signal and never got it.

It all happened fast and was weird. Ruston players and coaches should have been more prepared if they didn't get in.

That was a hell of a coaching clinic by both teams for two halves of football. Incredible.

the select/non-select BS can’t end soon enough.

It should be over after this season. The split was ruled unconstitutional and it takes a 2/3 vote to amend it. There are 10-15 different proposals right now, so none will get a 2/3 approval. Therefore things will revert back to the way they were.

then they should require the better seeded teams to travel in the first round of the playoffs only.
then teams would tank regular season games to be between 17 and 32

You want to be home for the first playoff game in particular because the later rounds aren’t guaranteed

Catholic, Curtis, Zachary, and Rummel have been the most consistent 5A teams over the last few years. It’s impossible to say who would win what in a combined bracket, but it’s tough to lessen their state titles considering that CHS has beaten all three of them more than they’ve lost to them over that same time period.

No one knows what’s going to happen but the language in the reasoning for the proposal was incredibly interesting.

Yes but the smaller publics want and deserve some type of relief from the upper end on smaller privates

I've stood right next to both of them. Holstein w/o helmet and cleats on is about 6'3''. Bech is no 6'1'', and is NOWHERE near 200 lbs, even w/ his equipment on.

I never said he wasn't a good athlete / receiver, he's a Trey Quinn w/ less speed.
