In MS, Oxford and Oak Grove will play next Friday night for the Class 6A State Championship.

Oxford defeated Starkville 26-17 and Oak Grove defeated Petal 35-28.

I’m a CHS alum so I’m happy to see them in the finals when they’ve gotten there, but the select/non-select BS can’t end soon enough.

In 3A, Jennings held on to beat Sterlington 39-38 by stuffing a 2 pt conversion attempt late in the 4th.

Now Jennings as 23 seed is on to semifinals at McDonogh 35. Any tips on traveling there?

Union beat Madison

I didn't see a 4* player in Burns. Our QB playing defense
ran him down. We threw 3 passes all game though, maybe he is great in coverage.

They'll either be playing at Pan Am Stadium or Tad Gormley Stadium which are both in City Park. I'm guessing Tad Gormley (the bigger stadium) as it's the only game in NOLA other than the Division I Championship.

Zachary wins. Ruston couldn’t get in in from the 1 as time expires.

Because Ruston thought they broke the plane of the goal line and the refs never signaled, just stared at each other for 20 seconds until time ran out. Most bizarre thing ever and I hope they get fired.

I must have cast Jesuit actually winning a football title out of my mind

I still remember BM stuffing Darrius Guice at the 1 on the final play of the game to upset Catholic in the quarters a few years ago
