Just read that Walker said he could still play in the NFL. Not every down, but he thinks he could play.

Opinions?

He couldn't play well.

Herschel Walker at 49 (2011). He also said then that he could still hit 4.4 in the forty yard dash.

If there is anyone in their 50s that I think could play, it would be Herschel Walker. I think he could at least equal what Willis McGahee did last year for the Browns.

None. Ligaments are as important as muscles. Ligaments age. His knees would go dog legged with a quickness.

Nobody thinks he could be a feature back and carry it 20 times a game for 150. But everyone who thinks "he'd get hurt immediately, there's no way he could play" just doesn't know Herschel. He could easily get a few carries a game and be fine. Not to mention he's probably, even at his age, one of if not the most in shape people on the field. His workout regimen STILL to this day is probably more than some of these clowns do during the season. I don't see any reason why he couldn't get a few yards a few times a game.

No one in here knows Hershel so we're all on the same playing field. But the dude is 52. 52 yo bodies aren't meant to take punishment.

And yes, I know he's in incredible shape. No one is disputing that. People are questioning whether a 52 yo body can take the abuse football players in their prime are known to dish out.

Walker is from one of those families that typically live to around 100 and still be able to get around. That being said, this is the same dude that said he eats one meal a day, with that meal being a salad. Ever since then, I call BS on pretty much anything he says.

Anybody catch this at the bottom of the article??
Article

Walker also said in the interview he wouldn't rule out joining forces with Trump if he takes over the Bills.

"I've got another good personality that could do some other things," he said.

Wonder if was trolling or being serious.

Truth. His stubborn pride is the only thing standing between him and an NFL career.

He was a waste of a roster spot the last three years of his career...two decades ago.

I agree here.. The dude is in beast mode shape wise.... I wonder if he can still do 22 one arm pull-ups with each arm....

And is more in shape and has a better body than many people in the league. The fact that he's 52 would only mean he can't get very many carries, which nobody is disputing anyway.

For 4 or 5 carries a game? Of course he could.

By the way I'm not saying this should or would happen, a team would be pretty foolish to waste a roster spot on this type of thing. I'm only saying if for some reason a hypothetical team DID pick him up, he could do it.

Would he be getting the same amount of snaps now as he did then?
