yeah man, Golovkin was gonna crush his eye socket even further if it went on for 2, more rounds. it wouldn't have been pretty. Brook was wobbly as hell.

G absorbed everything like it was nothing.

I can see why team GGG avoided Ward. He hits like a truck and is fun to watch but some skills are lacking.

yeah, the one thing I love about G is how he stalks his opponent and cuts off every direction.

he showed serious jabbing against lemieux, but he definitely looked vulnerable tonight.

ward has the technicals to really cause trouble for him.

HBO isn't saying anything about a broken eye socket.

Floyd's right. GGG is straight up and down, no special effects.

If he fights someone that can pop him back he'll get laid out because he zero head movement.

GGG fights like the fricking terminator. Sure you're going to get your shots in but eventually you are going to be broken.

kell wasn't throwing back much in that last round, this was gonna be a bloodbath if it went further.

I had it 2-2 at the stoppage. I don't think Brook throw a punch in the last two minutes while getting knocked around the ring by GGG. He was also pawing at his eye throughout the last couple rounds, so maybe there might be some truth to the eye damage other than just usual swelling.

I understand the stoppage as it looked inevitable anyways, but would have liked to see it go I bit longer.

Edit: Brook told his corner in-between rounds that he was having trouble seeing out of his eye. So it was a solid stoppage.

The real question is did GGG look vulnerable enough (against a welterweight) for Oscar to finally let Canelo (a middleweight) fight him?

yeah he went for the knockout from the opening bell and didn't do anything that was technically well.

he'd adjust with a completely different gameplan against canelo, ward or whoever is next.

Canelo can beat this guy. I wouldn't guarantee it but Canelo has the natural size to where GGG isn't going to be charging in there all night. Don't know why GBP is so chicken shite about this.
