Has he not seen Pero?
I mean come on you got a player like Antic and a face like Korver on your team. Pick your superstar.

Get used to it. Some of the guys who cover the league on TV seem to only know about 5 or 6 teams.
They still bitch about how the Grizz need someone who can score in late game situations when Conley is statistically one of the best at it in the league.

He may be the worst. Him calling summer league games may be some of the most frustrating things I have ever seen.

NBA TV is here in Atlanta, they know about us. hell depending on who they have on, they might show a good amount of love. ie Steve Smith, Dennis Scott, Rick Kamla (the host).

Thought this nickname was cool for a while, but now I am sick of it. We play way more fun than the Spurs and now we might be better than them. We are the Hawks, not the Spurs East.

such an overblown media storyline. We have 4 guys who you can make a reasonable case deserve the all-star game. 2 definitely deserve to make it.
Teague is the #6 point guard in the league in Hollinger's rankings and he's putting up sick numbers on the best team in the NBA.
There's this bullshite idea that having "star-quality" or "IT factor" wins games. There's this idea that some players are "elite" or "superstars" but others aren't. Say what you will, but I would take Teague, Horford, Millsap, and Korver over a lot of "stars".
That shite is so arbitrary. It has no substance at all. What the frick does that even mean? It means nothing. It is just an attempt to discount great play.
Teague is one of the best Point Guards in the league. And he still might be the 3rd best player on our team.

It's called ratings, and these so called experts who salivate over "superstars" are only doing it bc it brings in viewership regardless of quality of play.

Exactly.
What makes someone a star? How about a guy like John Wall. Tremendous player. Certainly one of the top PGs in the league. By now, everyone has pretty much agreed that he's a star. But why is he a "star" and someone like Jeff Teague not? Neither has done much in the playoffs. I'll tell you why, because John Wall was drafted #1 overall. We have all been buying into the storyline that he's going to develop into a star. His great play and improvement confirmed our idea. Now that he's playing really, really well on a pretty good team... we've all agreed he's a star.
Now look at Teague. He was drafted mid-late first round. Nobody expected anything too much of him. Barely played his first year. Showed steady improvement every year since then, and now he's developed into a really, really good player on undoubtedly one of the best teams in the NBA. Now he's playing on an elite level.... but there has never been a "star" storyline around him.
Maybe he's not KD, Lebron, Carmelo, Curry, or Unibrow... but combine him with Horford, Millsap, and Korver (3 amazing players in their own respect) and he's certainly good enough to take us far into the playoffs.

I'm with ya, it's really fricking dumb. Teague isn't a star that can carry a team in the playoffs but john wall is because he is marginally better? What a crock of shite.
We had 7 different guys score 20+ in 7 straight games, which I believe is an NBA record. Why is that not better than having a star? I know it's just shitty tv chatter, but I just don't like that these thoughts are being spread. Then again, we probably won't win the championship and someone with a superstar will, so I dunno.

Probably.
I'll take the field over any one team, but after watching us run train on basically every good team in the West and East over the past month and a half... (and pretty much NEVER lose) I think we have as good a chance as anyone to win it all.

Am I allowed to jump on the bandwagon? Is there still room?

Welcome aboard.
The Pelican haters about how good the west is have seemed to quiet down.
