Never. It is such a bandwagon move to do that.

Jon Miller (voice of the Giants for those who don’t know) is the best PBP guy in baseball.

I miss when he did the ESPN Sunday Night Baseball telecast. He’s basically the voice of my childhood.

Then Yankees played a series against the Giants in interleague play back in 2019 and I listened to the entire series on the Giants network on TuneIn. I love listening to Jon Miller calling a ballgame.

MLB and NFL have been the same for my entire life. With basketball, I have always been, more of a player fan so I follow them around the league.

Nope. Braves, Falcons and Hawks. Thrashers when they were around. Couldn’t imagine cheering for anyone but those 3 honestly.

I’m a Charlotte Hornets fan. When they became the bobcats I started pulling for the Hawks. When they brought the buzz back to Charlotte I switched back.

Yes. Twice actually. I grew up near Cleveland OH and was a Browns fan but in 1997 they lost their franchise so I started becoming a saints fan since I was living in South Louisiana. Saints still sucked at that time. Then after 3 years when Browns returned I just stayed with the Saints. Then too many of the Saints players became woke and i switched to NOBODY!!!!

Kind of. I chose to be a SKC fan around 2011, but switched to Atlanta United in 2017.

Yes. When I moved from one city to another.

While I still root for my old teams, it was too hard to follow them day-to-day pre-internet.

I grew up cheering for the Oilers... but they left for Tennessee when I was going into my senior year of HS, then I went to LSU and went to a few Saints games and that's that.

Now I live in TN, but sure as shite not switching over to the Titans.

There are situations where it’s acceptable

1- Original team moves
2- A team moves to your previously teamless city
3- If you grew up in a city without a team and latched on to a team for whatever reason but then you move to a city with a team (say you grew up in Shreveport and rooted for the Cowboys, but then you subsequently moved to Houston, you can start rooting for the Texans.)
4- After 10 years in a new city you can switch to that city’s team no questions asked.

5 - You're really a fan of a player or coach, or a college program. So you follow whichever team is LSU North or LSU East.

Yeah when I was a little kid. Was a Blue Jays fan at first because that was my first little league team’s name. Then became a Mariners fan because of Griffey

No, but the Saints have tried their best to make it happen.

A little when it comes to pro soccer.

I have my main team that I follow in England and to a lesser extent Germany, but my "backup" teams are entirely dependent on if they have Americans or not.

I'll watch and cheer for Werder Bremen, Hoffenheim, or RB Leipzig now when I wouldn't care in the past. I just want to see the American kids succeeding on successful squads over there. I guess that's a bit like the casual NFL fan/die hard CFB fan just cheering for teams with players from his favorite college

NFL- never changed (Saints)
MLB- never changed (Astros)
NBA- I don’t watch it anymore, but was a Jazz fan till they moved, then Celtics til Bird retired, then Rockets til the Hornets moved here.

Yes. I was a Green Bay fan before the Saints came along.

I’d fall into this category. I just casually root for the teams wherever I’m living.

It’s always been hard for me to feel any attachment to pro teams, but if you lived in the same city for most of your life, I guess I can understand it.

Saints/Pelicans/LSU/Braves fan here. Only one I could switch is from the Braves to a team that comes to NO. And being a Braves fan since ‘81 that’d be big.

Went from the Jazz to the Hornets/Pelicans when they came to New Orleans.

For NFL, it's Saints ride or die. I can't even pretend to care that much for another team unless they are playing the Falcons.
