Has Urban Meyer or any other coach openly begged for a playoff spot?

Define this, because Urban was sure campaigning on the podium last night.

Urban followed saban with SVP. But he didn't call out bama like saban called out Ohio state (30 pt loss). Also Meyer couldn't use the "no conf champ line" considering last year.

not a playoff spot, but Mack Brown did a great job politicking in 04 to get UT into the Rose Bowl

Love him or Hate him, Nick is doing his job. I’d sure want the coach of my time doing it.

Miles in 07. Urban last year. Urban last night. Every coach in that position ever. It's their job

He wasn't begging, and he did a better job for his team than Saban for sure.

Probably, and if Bama wasn't so weak, maybe they would be.

You may be a bit biased in that assessment.

Neither pointed out anything new (although Urban apparently thinks he's the only team with two wins over Top 4 opponents; clown). We all know what they did.

All coaches do it, just cause it ain't televised doesn't mean it ain't happening.

Division and Conference.

By that logic, Miami has the same number of losses as Ohio State, and one more title than Alabama. They should be in the conversation as well.

Then what does that make Ohio State, considering Bama would be a 10 point favorite in a matchup between the two?
