He was hired by Minnesota with a ton of hype and has completely shite the bed so far. He has won two conference games in two years and has had worse records in 2017 & 2018 than UM had in the few years before he took over.

I don’t expect Minnesota to go undefeated, but they also shouldn’t be getting their arse handed to them by Maryland and Northwestern.

That’s a three or 4 year rebuild job.

Why? It isn’t like they wanted to fire Kill, he just had that awful seizure issue

That's a tough place to win at. I think he bolts at the first opportunity.

IDK. Someone coaches just want a stable job. He may be content with 8 wins a year and a bowl game.

A small chunk did. He was well behind guys like Herman, Fisher, and Mullen.

Remember when LSU fans wanted Mike Nolan after Saban left?

It’s minnesota. He isn’t Saban. Give him some time.

bullshite, they fired a coach (Tracy Claeys) who had a 9 win season, because he stood up for his players.

Since then they are 2-11 in conference play.

Unless he really likes that area of the country Flek could’ve held out for a much bigger job. Minnesota is as low level notoriety as it gets in the Big Ten. Indiana and Rutgers only jobs worse than that. Hell they were playing in the Metrodome a few years ago.

Wouldn't say died. Think flavor of the month is the best way to put it.

his recruting isn't good enough to beat Iowa and Wisconsin.

That Claeys guy is a really good coach. Has a Mike Leach team ranked 19th in overall defense and shut down a guy who is probably going to be the #1 overall pick in next year's draft. Minnesota might have let one get away.

Agreed. Jerry Kill was known as a program builder and had Minnesota rebuilt and competitive after the Tim Brewster era. Tracy Claeys was only the full time head coach for one year.

However, I'm going to wait to shovel dirt on PJ Fleck's tenure at Minnesota. He's only coached 19 games, and their 3-4 record isn't that bad. They lost to good Maryland and Iowa teams, #2 Ohio State, and a Nebraska team fighting like hell for their first win. Let's see how he does down the stretch of this season.

What makes it worse is that fleck inherited a good team

It wasn’t a rebuild

Mary beat tex.

NW leads its b10 division.

Your suggestion those are bad losses a real.program should not have is silly.
Tex is 50 50 going to playoff.
Fleck will field competitive team during 4th season.
Year 1 did not have time to recruit.
All in good time.

They lost a lot off the team he inherited iirc, and he has a true freshman qb

He’s recruited well for Minnesota, I think they will start getting better next year
