Has the Florida State TE lining up backwards against ULM been discussed yet?

He didn't want the sun in his eyes. I don't see the problem.

He didn't really line up backwards. He did that for a second then motioned to the other side of the field. It's incredibly pointless but not as bad as it looks in a still.

Says it wasn’t an accident

quote:

But McKitty said Tuesday that he knew he was lined up the wrong way. And that it wasn’t on accident. McKitty was lined up in the correct direction before the snap after he went in motion, but after their loss to Boise State in Week 1, many people couldn’t resist poking fun at the Seminoles.

"There is nothing wrong with me," McKitty said via Rivals’ Warchant.com. "I definitely didn't line up the wrong way on our snap. … I'm not really worried about what anyone else is saying. I know what we were doing, what we were trying to do."

New Florida State offensive coordinator Kendal Briles backed up McKitty on Tuesday too. Briles’ offense tries to get lined up as fast as possible at times to keep the defense off-balance and prevent it from substituting.

"We didn't snap the football with him turned sideways, I don't know if that's something you guys saw," Briles said with a smile. "It's a way to tempo without tempo. It's a stoppage situation, where you can not tempo. So we came off the sideline. It's a thing we do offensively. Guys can line up wherever they want. I don't care. Just get to your spot where you need to get to.”

Whatever the frick that means

Trickett coached that at FSU.

I always thought it was the dumbest fricking thing I’ve seen coached

quote:

"We all stole it from somebody," he said. "But the discipline part of what [Trickett] does is as good as anybody's — making them guys stay down there and do all that." Like the execution of the play itself, the reasoning behind it is simple, too. The more frozen the offensive line remains, the easier it is for the officials to penalize the defense for offsides. And the more unlikely an offensive lineman is penalized for a false start.

Watching it live, it looked like he did it purposely. For what reason, I’m not sure. If he did that by accident, he should get a Cat Scan immediately.

It’s pretty terrible.

Their coach is a complete joke and this isn’t what you should be doing when you’re a complete joke.

The Briles were supposed to be offensive geniuses. Not sure what the point of this is, but assuming he has some reasoning behind it.

I used to think CTE was overblown.

Now I’m not so sure.
