Fixed it for ya.

The guys beaten more UFC heavyweight champions than most fans can name. His only loss was on from a cut from an illegal blow, but because he couldn't advance in the tournament due to the cut he was tagged with a loss.

that's great, and he toils away in relative obscurity these days.

But his legacy will be not coming to the UFC and proving it more then how great a fighter he is IMO

Meh..I don't really think he's worried about his US legacy. He's a god in Russia and the rest of the world..he can prob. do without the US. With that said I would like to see him in the UFC for a fight. But his legacy is pretty much sealed as one of the all time greats imho.

and for the GSP hate....I just don't like him...no real reason why...it may have something to do with watching the USA vs Canada UFC a few years back in a Canadian bar that turned me sour on him. With that said..to think he's not completely badass is insane..but you can not ilke someone and admit how great they are

He fought Two former UFC champs and a guy with a Resume that's much better than the current UFC heavyweight champ in his last 3 fights.

that were pretty much run out of the UFC and shell's of their former selves when he fought them...... and Brett Rogers? Seriously? I wanted to see the fight, but no one was surprised by that outcome including Brett Rogers.

I do think Fedor is one of if not the greatest fighters ever. But it has been many years at this point since he has fought another top opponent at the time of his fight with them.

I wouldn't dispute anybody saying they don't hate GSP's skills, but admit that being BJ nuthuggers has left sour tastes in your mouths after their fight.

Main event:

170 lbs.: Georges St. Pierre (170) vs. Dan Hardy (170)

Main card (Televised):

265 lbs.: Frank Mir (265) vs. Shane Carwin (265)
170 lbs.: Ben Saunders (169) vs. Jon Fitch (171)
155 lbs.: Fabricio Camoes (155) vs. Kurt Pellegrino (155)
155 lbs.: Jim Miller (155) vs. Mark Bocek (154)

Under card (May not be broadcast):

170 lbs.: Nate Diaz (171) vs. Rory Markham (177)**
170 lbs.: Ricardo Almeida (170) vs. Matt Brown (170)
205 lbs.: Jared Hamman (205) vs. Rodney Wallace (206)
185 lbs.: Tomasz Drwal (185) vs. Rousimar Palhares (186)
170 lbs.: Matthew Riddle (170) vs. Greg Soto (170)

Markham? 6 pounds really? Markham came in overweight, but Diaz agreed to still take the fight

I didn't even notice that Diaz is making his WW debut. I knew he had talked about it.

Mir must be on that HGH bra

There is an article in ESPN the magazine about how HGH doesn't really make you any stronger or some shite. I'm like look at the guys who are on it and tell me that. lol.

my $.02

GSP will win this fight....he's just a dominant fighter

hardy does not deserve this fight...he has not beaten anyone worth it to deserve this fight

IMO Kos should be fighting GSP, but their styles are very similar so maybe that's why joe silva stayed away from it for now...it will happen soon in the future, though

i'm a mir fan...i think he'll do well against carwin....carwin is a beast, but he still has a ways to go

mir can beat him in several different ways...it will be fun to watch him decide which way to beat him

on the matt hughes douchebaggery issue: i do think he's very confident in himself, and that can be viewed as being an arse, but i think he knows exactly what he's doing....he says one thing, but it's the way he says it that makes him an arse......i'm not a big hughes fan, but i'll give credit where it's due...he was dominant in him time...i read his biography and got a little more information on why he is the way he is....he can't help it...it's bred into him

i've always liked BJ....he's an arse, too but for some reason it does not bother me the way it bothers me when hughes speaks

i'm probably the only one on this board, but i'm a big serra fan. he makes no excuses...he knows he is full of himself, but makes no apologies for it. he is entertaining to listen to and he's one hell of a coach. a good friend of mine has trained with him at renzo gracie's school in NY and he tells me they both are really cool guys in person.

i'm sure this thread will die now, since i have a knack for killing threads

any retorts will be appreciated

I repsect your opinions on those fighters. I will always be a Hughes fan for his dominant run and also for his performance in the 2nd Trigg fight. Me and my roommate at the time almost tore our place apart cheering for him during and after that one. Great stuff.

I'm a Penn fan as well because he is fricking certifiable IMO.

Serra seems like a nice guy that plays the part of an arse to hype his fights up.

I dislike Mir most of the time. I think he is a great commentator when he does the WEC, but some of the shite he says before and after fights is just assinine.

i do agree with that to some extent....mir is highly intelligent....that usually does not fit in well as a fighter, but he makes it work

and when i say he's highly intelligent, i'm not talking just about being a smart fighter...i'm talking IQ

i have no proof how high it is, but i know he's a sharp one

Well the guy he's fighting tomorrow night is an extremely intelligent man. I believe Carwin went to the Colorado School of Mines which for engineering is like right behind MIT.

ETA: And Mir is very well spoken and you can tell that he is intelligent. He just says some weird shite leading up to his fights maybe in an effort to hype but it just ends up sounding stupid.
