give it 10 years when the super team era is long gone. those titles will rightfully be discounted.

my prediction before the season was him averaging 40 PPG and losing in the 2nd round. I feel pretty good about it.

Mike would have shaved his beard and ate his soul, figuratively speaking.

So the theory is that Harden doesn't want to risk a title being discounted later, so he's just not going to win one in the first place?

4d chess he's playing there.

1. Lebron being tGOAT will steadily grow until it’s as mainstream as MJ being tGOAT 20 years ago.

2. You’re quick to discredit other player’s titles while your boy doesn’t have any.

No team has his team beat at a 4 or 3 to 1 all nba player to one advantage like the last couple years of GOAT.

WBB, we’ve been through this. If Cleveland’s 2015 title doesn’t count because of warriors injuries, then harden has literally never faced the goat warriors in the playoffs due to their injuries, which were even more substantial the last 2 years than what Cleveland faced in 2015.

This is what happens when you don’t think through your trolls through well enough.

quote:

Same goes for lebron and kD. Required super teams to win titles. Super teams will def not be viewed well down the road.

WBB, we’ve also been through this. No matter how many times you try to pass it off otherwise, Durant joining the 73 win team he blew a 3-1 lead to will never be viewed the same as other star players choosing to play with lebron.

Some guys don’t want a super team. They would rather compete than take the easiest route. It is an admirable quality. You lose and can walk offf the court with your head held high.

Lebron got more hate than kevin ever did for super teaming. He paved the way. And he is better than Kevin. So deservedly so he got it the worst of anyone.

Wrong as always WBB. Lebron got hate for the way he announced his decision to go to Miami. Go link some articles of him receiving hate when the cavs acquired Kevin love.

Still formed a super team, according to you WBB.

And still got hated for it, according to you WBB.

Show your proof.

That's what LeBron did with Wade and Bosh. He cut corners. He skipped the gradual team building and rebuilding. He decided that being the best wasn't enough, he wanted to play with the best, too.

quote:

What is not debatable is this: Last year, LeBron, by Barra's own reckoning the best player in basketball, decided it would be easier to join 'em than beat 'em. Wade, with whom he colluded to team up during free agency, was the closest thing LeBron had to genuine competition, at least in the Eastern Conference: same draft class, similar skills and position, and (unlike James) already an NBA champion and Finals MVP. As Bill Simmons put it, "it's a cop-out. Any super-competitive person would rather beat Dwyane Wade than play with him. Don't you want to find the Ali to your Frazier and have that rival pull the greatness out of you?" Not LeBron, evidently. For good measure, he and Wade even brought along the third-most-coveted free agent on the market, fellow All-Star Bosh.

quote:

So, are rings really what distinguish LeBron from the Michael Jordan? Of course not. Jordan banged up against the physical Detroit Pistons unsuccessfully for years before finally surmounting them in the playoffs. It would have been easier to simply engineer a trade to the Motor City (or to LA, Boston, Portland, etc.) and start hoisting banners immediately, but he stuck it out as the pieces were fit and refit around him, until they were good enough to make it to the Finals. Nor was this in any way unusual. Bird never considered teaming up with Magic. Hakeem didn't offer to play power forward next to Robinson. Sure, great players have forced trades now and then. But they haven't invented insta-champion superteams out of thin air.

Bron cheated what sports is all about. Competition.

It was a record setting night alright.

James Harden shot just 28.9% from the field tonight, easily the lowest such figure in NBA history by a player in a 50-point game. He also tied the NBA record for most 3-pointers missed in a game with 16.
