Are you serious? Dammit. That guy has been doing MNF for years. He screwed up so he's fired just like that. Geez that sucks.

HWJ is a racist redneck. Why the hell would people care what he thinks anyway? He was a GIG supporter of Palin......enough said.

Yep.

I think Hank just got ate up with "the old". Don't put microphones in front of old mens faces. My grandpa could have come out with some shite that would have made me cringe back when he was alive. Bad job by Hank's people and by the network for airing it live.

Dennis Miller fired for saying mean things about Obama?

why would Dennis Miller get fired for that? Miller is very outspoken and involved about politics and that is what his followers expect.

ESPN, on the other hand, caters to the entire market and doesn't want a controversial figure in the primetime on their network. There are consequences to your actions, and Hank should have shown a little more intelligence.

This issue has absolutely nothing to do with free speech, and anyone who brings it up is a fool

Notice they called it a "slur." Now days, when that word is utilized, it is often preceded by the word "racist." In this story, that was omitted, but it's SO engrained in reporting and editing, that one's mind automatically inserts it anyway, thus its use is to imply that Williams is racist.

Of course, it could have been anyone that made such a comparison, but the reporter's deliberate use of the word "slur" implies racism to whomever it is applied. It's a neat little trick, and it's part of the same M.O. from the Obama supporters' side of the national discourse....basically, any opposition to Obama's policies automatically is equal to racism.

Not an Obama supporter by any stretch of the imagination (and I'm black, for pete's sake), but that's taking it a little to far, Hank.

Then again, people compared Bush to Hitler all the time and liberals applauded so....

I read the comments, they aren't as bad as ESPN is making it out to be.

The problem with this country is that Liberals see their side of the world and the conservatives see their side of the world and no one lives in the same world.

The Clinton News Network (CNN) and the Fox New channel (right wing) each preach their own agenda. No one reports the news...everyone "spins" their story and sells that to the masses. As long as there is Dan Rather, Katy Couric, Bill Maher, and Rush Limbaugh, the United States government and citizens will remain isolated and divided. No one does what is best for the whole country. Every congressman or woman looks out for themselves, their families and screw everyone on the opposite side. Both republicans and democrats are guilty. What a sad state of affairs for a country that might not be around 200 years from now.

He was definitely making a comparison of Obama's relationship with the Boehner to the relationship Hitler and the Israeli Prime Minister would share. They are polar opposites, they don't get along, yet they play golf together. Which...I don't know...maybe to some people could seem confusing.

But then when he says two seconds later that "they"(read Obama) are the enemy he clears up the confusion.

ESPN had every right to do what they did to Hank, but anyone offended by the remark or took it to extremes is a pussy.

I had to laugh when HWJ issued a statement and said his First Amendment rights were violated by ESPN. the First Amendment says CONGRESS SHALL MAKE NO LAW not ESPN SHALL MAKE NO LAW

he worked for a private company, he said something they didnt like, they shite canned him
