It's ironic how this is always the default justification to be as disrespectful to others as possible.

And the “he said something racist” line, that surprisingly nobody else hears lol

I have read articles and listened to Joseph ramble and I still can't figure out what happened that led to all of this.

There must've been some research-fueled verbal disagreements over the academic rankings of the respective schools that sadly escalated.

Culture happened. Some people don't need a real reason.

I don't doubt that. But Joseph explaining what started it makes no sense to me. Something about players coming down the hill, 3 to 3:30 on the clock, the other coach needs to have his players on the field, his players had to wait. It makes about as much sense as Dennis Green's "they are who we thought they were" rant. It made sense in his head, but none of the rest of us have any clue.

My guess is that both teams enter the field from the same tunnel. After halftime the Bethune Cookman team was slightly ahead of the Grambling team in heading back onto the field but their guys were just walking and meandering around which was blocking Grambling from being able to get back on the field to warm up for the second half.

That's my guess.

Suspensions handed down

18 Grambling players suspended, 3 of them for 2 games
9 suspended from BCU

In the ULL Texas State brawl
Texas state suspends 6, with one for 2 games
ULL suspended 7, one for the rest of the season

A brawl in D3 between Guilford College and Averett University results in both teams forfeiting their final game which sucks for their seniors
Their opponents will likely play each other

I wasn't that big of a fan of when the U.S. and Canada hockey teams fought either. Do you know how many brawls there were between the Soviets and U.S. during that famous hockey match in 1980? Zero. Same for their exhibition match in Madison Square Gardens. They just went out there and played the game.

Why is it only downvotes? I thought this stupid US/Canada fight was the dumbest thing ever.

Seriously, how is it different?

What sucks is there’s probably a bunch of really good human beings on these teams that are just completely embarrassed about the actions of their teammates

You know I’ve always tended to think that way, and to a certain degree still do (or at least really want to) but the silence from these mythical ‘good human beings who are embarrassed’ is deafening in every aspect of that society. In fact, like this clown of a ‘leader’, it’s much more likely that instead all we hear are excuses and even endorsement of this kind of behavior.
