Yeah, it's a total joke since they're 7th in the BCS and the highest 1 loss team

GT needs 2, maybe three teams to lose to get to the national title, but it's a total joke.

Perhaps, but Duke gave up 192 yards rushing to UNC last week, and GT is MUCH better rushing the ball than UNC.

Duke gives up 139 yards/game rushing, including 266 to Army. I think GT will score at will on Duke, just like they've done every game since the Miami loss.

PJ will have his NC chances down the road. He is going to build a power in the ACC.

GT in the national title game?

How did Georgia Tech do against Clemson this year?

We were absolutely smoking them in the first half, too

Didn't you guys only have ONE offensive first down by the time the score was 24-3, with all of y'alls points coming either off the trick fake FG, special teams return for TD, and then the 80 yard run on first play from scrimmage? If I remember correctly, besides the stupid busted plays, Clemson's D actually held GT's option offense in check throughout the entire game except for the first drive and GT's last scoring drive.

And how does that change the fact that Tech had a 21 point lead? 21 points is 21 points, son.

I am not reading all this crap, but yes Ga Tech has a legit shot (if Texas and Cincy slip up). Ga Tech plays 3 SEC teams OOC plus an ACC CG and that should result in a very good computer score. Better than 1-loss Texas, better than Boise and probably TCU, and probably even better than (gasp) 1-loss UF or Bama.

Now the human polls would have the SEC teams ahead by too much, but I do think Ga Tech would be ahead of Boise and TCU (or close enough to make it interesting).

And FWIW Easter, here the "future" Colley Matrix computer poll. I assumed the higher ranked team wins out except: Bama beats UF, Texas loses to Kansas St, Cincy loses to Pitt, and ohio State loses to Iowa:

Bama and UF are #1,#2. I don't think 1-loss SEC fairs that well in other computers.Boise and TCU are so low they are probably out of it. In your scenario (texas and cincy both choke), I give Ga Tech at least a 50% chance.

1 Alabama 13 0
2 Florida 12 1
3 Ga Tech 12 1
4 Pitt 11 1
5 Texas 12 1
6 Oregon 10 2
7 Cincy 11 1
8 TCU 11 0
9 USC 10 2
10 Boise St 13 0
