I think it was mentioned before that they're usually checked for that sort of thing before they even enter the octagon. I know they check for mouthpieces and cups but I don't recall them feeling the fighters' backs or shoulders. I'll have to watch it again tonight.

i am just shocked that so many Penn fanboys are pointing all blame at GSP and the alleged greasing, and taking no offense at the embarrassment

GSP killed him. And would have killed him anyway. I've said this numerous times. The fact is he fricking cheated and is on video doing it. I mean frick man, I would do that for every fight if nothing is going to happen to you for it.
And to the point about them checking it when he came in to the fight. I think they were putting it on and then wiping it off, so the sweat would activate it when it started....like Cash's point. Seems like that would be the case if you tried that IMO.

Oh don't get me wrong, I am just as pissed at Penn for showing up out of shape and not letting his hands fly/attempt high risk subs/try to sweep/generally fight back.

I dont think that the NSAC will use a ruling from the MBC to make theirs.
Although it is pretty much the same thing, I do not believe either changed the outcome of the fight. Guillard's corner was massaging his thighs with Thai numbing cream.
Both Dana and Kizer said they doubt the fight will be overturned or GSP will be stripped.

Me, but I was in disbelief. I noticed that Penn could not keep his legs where he wanted them. They kept slipping off, but in no part of me did I think GSP would have Vaseline purposely on his back.
