Nothing better than teams cussing each other out in a church softball league.

I played in a league for a few seasons. But 95% of the league took it way too serious. Just ruined it.

All the little bitches who cried every time they lost in peewee baseball apparently now play slow pitch softball.

my dad was a pitcher for 40yrs
air force all american pitcher in the 1950-60's
in his prime he was clocked at 107 mph from 46 ft with movement
the fastest pitcher in that era was bobby spell from lake charles he was clocked at lsu at 116 mph ft with movement

mens fastpitch is a tough game dont knock it

I enjoy playing it myself. It's something athletic and competitive to do in the middle of the week as long as you don't take it too seriously. Try to win of course but don't take it like it's your job or something. I play co-ed though and that makes the games go much smoother and faster. Plus the scenery is usually pretty good.

I live in VA and slow pitch softball is huge here. Major. The mens leagues take it way too seriously and in all honesty it's boring as hell. Most experienced players can hit the ball anywhere on the field they want and with the homer limits, it becomes a game of constant singles. If you're in centerfield it's horrible. Rarely see a ball. Co-ed is the way to go imo. Admittedly though some of those girls/ladies are very good and better than me and a lot of other men.
