did you ever spend anytime in a locker room?
There was always the guy that just tried too hard to be a leader and came off as more of a brown noser than someone the team actually liked. Typically named captain by the coaches, not his peers

Yeah, I guess I might have felt resentment towards "that guy" when I was a dumb high schooler, or junior high kid, but as I've grown older, I appreciate those types much more.
I certainly have no problem with an NFL player being adored by his coaches for the right reasons. Furthermore, his teammates seem to love him, so your comparison isn't solid.

With watt it's the constant look at me, look how seriously I take football. Its the letterman jacket, it's harassing mettenburger over a selfie for no good reason, it's the constant advertising of how hard he works. Tons of guys work hard, but they don't make a production out of it.

Yea the whole world thinks Watt is a baby back bitch because of the selfie thing that included a former LSU player. I guess all of barstool sports are pissed off LSU fans too since most of them tend to agree with the sentiments of this thread.
