Maybe that means there are more than 4 BEST teams

But that's all the room we have according to the rules.

I've known Bama fans are the dumbest in CFB. But holy shite, they clearly can't grasp logic.

Look, I have always said the ESPN controls things narrative is a conspiracy theory. However there is no reality in which someone has this big of a change of a heart in two days. Something was told to these people.
there's not a conspiracy and nothing secret was "told" to anyone. People just need to understand what the fricking E in ESPN stands for. They exist for entertainment and profit, nothing more. Not to inform, not to educate. They will do anything and everything they can to get people talking, clicking, and commenting. The sooner people realize this the sooner their blood pressure will return to normal.

No, I wouldn't agree that it's arbitrary, it's more like bounded accuracy, so that while whatever's going to happen is in fact subjective as well as objective, there are realistically only a finite number of acceptable resolutions. Otherwise, maybe Liberty should be in the playoffs, right?
I'm being facetious of course but if I had to rank them I would say:
Michigan
Texas
Alabama
Georgia
Ohio St.
FSU
Washington

In my opinion, if there's a left-out team with a legitimate gripe here, it isn't FSU, it's Georgia. Washington doesn't deserve to be there.

Why? Everyone keeps bringing up FSU's SOS, yet Washington's is the 2nd best of the playoff participants.
How can Washington "not deserve" to be there, but Michigan can win games with defense and zero QB production against teams with incompetent offenses that inflate their SOS, yet no one bats an eye at them being #1?
