Man, Green Bays's third string backup (BJ Coleman?) comes in...first pass INT. This whole game has been nothing but how bad the QB play is for Green Bay. Colt McCoy or Seneca Wallace will be getting a call from Green Bay tonight. Both are light years better then the backups for the Pack. Watch the highlights...dreadfull! The Browns better get something better then a 5th rounder!

So I heard there was a Cleveland Browns fan in here talking about how bad the Packers suck in a preseason game. No way this can be true.

Wouldn't Indy go 0-4 every year in Manning's prime during the preseason?

Then they'd go 12-4 or better every year for a freaking decade.

Starks is their only RB right now.

He may not even make the roster.

Green will probably be their starter with Benson backing up.

Mccoy could be pretty good with a few years in green bay behind rodgers with McCarthy

OK, so try this with any team:

The __________ would be bad if ____________ went down!
-----(Team name)-------------------------(best player)

Didn't the Patriots have a winning record without Brady a few years ago?

Every year a starting QB gets injured pretty much. And the teams don't always suck when they go down.

If GB loses Rogers they're going in the tank because they don't have a quality backup. Look for them to sign someone between now and then.

And to follow up on that. Houston was winning games without Andre Johnson AND Mario Williams last year.

If those weren't the two best players on the team they were probably 2 out of the top 4

ETA: And they were down to their #3 QB at one point

Depth matters. Don't be stupid.

There is no way Green Bay can move forward with Harrell as their backup.

wait, wut?

Who care's who the back up QB is? They have one of the best QB's in the league. Yeah, if he goes down they are screwed, so?

Yes, but they didn't make the playoffs.

Regarding the Texans, yeah they were down to their 3rd string QB and he won the game they needed to clinch a playoff spot and won a playoff game. He was also pretty bad.

Depth does matter. What doesn't matter is preseason performance for a team like GB. You can't read to much into it, the back up QB is not out there with the regular starters like Cassell was with NE or Yates with Houston. When they won the SB, they had several key injuries, so obviously they are aware of the importance of quality depth.

And neither are a SB contender. If you look at the 'elite' teams right now none of them would be good without their starter.

Pats -> Could probably win games, but wouldn't make it far in the playoffs.

Saints -> See above

P.Manning Team -> Made it without him last year, but weren't a real threat.

Packers -> They live and die by Rodgers

Giants/Ravens/Steelers -> Rely on defense and some game management by the QB.

Its funny how fast people forget Matt Flynn. People saying GB lives and dies with Rogers only are wrong. Matt Flynn was a solid backup and filled in very nicely. They should have adressed this earlier. To put it into perspective Graham Harell was 3rd string in Cleveland in 09 and 10' and then cut by the Browns. He wasn't in football in 11' and is now backing up Rogers. To say depth doesn't matter is foolish. At least Chase Daniels can come in and run the Saints offense. It was painfull to watch Harrel last night. If I were GB I would be talking with Cleveland about Wallace or McCoy!

Flynn was a 6th round pick that developed nicely for them. its a luxary that you can not afford in the salary cap era.

Also did he win a game that matter for them? The great game he played last year was because they already locked up the top seed. The year before he played well in a loss. Iny had shitty back up QB's for a decade and it did not matter.

Im surprised at how bad the Packers look tonight. I know its preseason but my Browns are taking it to the Packers! 23-7 Browns. Graham Harrell is not an NFL quarterback. Guy has no idea what he is doing. The Packers are one play away from being just like the Colts and Bears from last year. BAD!

lol wut? who are the Browns gonna pick at #2 this year? play your cards right and you may end up at #1....

So are the Saints' backup QBs. Do you think Saints' fans give a shite? It's a QB driven league. If you don't have one of the 8 or so elite QBs, you don't do shite in the playoffs so who cares if your backup is terrible. It's not like your expecting your 2nd or 3rd QB to win you a Super Bowl. I just found it ironic that a Browns' fan whose team has made awful personnel decisions for 20+ years(especially with QBs) was so critical about another teams 2nd and 3rd QB.

But hey, the Browns have "great" QB depth so looks like a big year for them....
