Gonzaga Star Freshman Guard Jalen Suggs Back In After Achilles Injury

Hasn't been made official since it recently happened, but Suggs was grabbing at his lower left calf and could barely put any weight on it.
Sucks for a Gonzaga team that looks like it could run the table with him at PG. They're lucky that Andrew Nembhard got an immediate waiver because they'll certainly need him

This is my fault. I’ve been on a killer cold streak and put a future on Gonzaga and then bet the over tonight.

Would be a disaster for college basketball and would lead to the NBA's G League Ignite program raiding top recruits even more.

Damn that sucks. Good kid and watched him at hs here. Dude has a bright future but hate to see this

I don’t know why but it seems like Achilles tears have become more and more common lately

Social media has ensured that this statement applies to pretty much everything.

Eh I always followed sports pretty closely and I can’t remember a time where this was happening as much in basketball as it has lately.

He’s walking around and jumping in the hallway.

He’s in the tunnel trying to walk it out

He's testing it out in the tunnel so it's thankfully something minor.

Good deal. Even if he's out for this game at least nothing too horrible

That's great to see. Seeing that replay it looked like an achilles tear, but it was good to see him doing that in the tunnel

He’s back on the bench

No way that dude should be in the game right now
Posted on 12/2/20 at 7:43 pm to Art Vandelay
Seems like they wouldn’t put him in if they weren’t sure he isn’t going to aggravate it.

Yeah, I'd probably sit him out for this game just to be sure at the very least. Still good to see him out there though

I'm surprised he didn't "opt out" at half time

He looks like he’s more comfortable now but definitely not 100%
