Yes. The ball technology has always been there to make it go far. But now that same technology can be put into a ball that is soft around the greens. The club technology now helps the ball go straight. It is pretty amazing to see how far it has come in the last 15 years.

You could always stock up on them. They're still on the shelves. I think gppgolf.com has them for $35/dozen and flat rate shipping of $4. Recently bought some 06 Nike One Blacks for $20/dozen.

So, I just sent the head of my 3 wood down the fairway yesterday. didn't really like it, so i probably won't reshaft it, need to get something else.

I also don't like my hybrids all that much. Considering putting my x20 tour 3 and 4 iron back in the bag.

Anyone have any 3 wood/hybrid recommendations. I haven't found anything I've liked yet.
