Courses unknowingly pairing people

I'm paying to play with the people I came with. No one else.

Agreed, but what would you prefer: not being able to play unless you have a 4some or them making a 4some? Used to be you weren't allowed to play a solo or 2 man on a weekend

Yeah unless you want to pay for a foursome, you don't have much say here.

Pft, I played with the funniest pair of strangers last week.

Such quotes as:

"That's going to break about a count hair to the left."

When putt hit to hard: "Damn! You went cock diesel on that putt!"

When ball rimmed out on putt: "Girl, who taught you to spit that out?!"

I have very few pet peeves when it comes to golf

I'm out there to have fun, some of you take it way too seriously and don't sound like any fun to play with

My group ranges from 70s to 110s and we all get along just fine and everyone leves happy.

Agree on playing with randoms, I'll make conversation and talk shite with anybody

I hate slow players; the guys who plumb bob every putt, take a million practice swings, and spend half an hour looking for an X-out. Went out at 7 Friday morning, had one older guy (I'm in my early 50's myself) in front of me who would consult his GPS on every shot, then take about 6-8 practice swings before hitting it about 170 at best. He's been a member of that course since the 70's and still can't tell how far to the hole from the fairways! Thankfully he went to the bar at the turn, so I kept going.

Also, people who play one course so much that they think they are good at golf because they score well there. Put them at any other course and they suck like my uncle at a truck stop!

I need to talk to my friend and see when he is signing up for. From what y'all are saying I'm assuming that everyone gets tee times to start on 1 or 10 and round 2 times is based off of round 1 scoring?

It's just a quick way to tell which way it breaks. I use it on some hard to read putts. Just back up directly behind the ball and hole, cover the ball with the shaft and if the hole is to the left it should break left and if it's on the right it should break right. I rarely use it though.

Gotcha... never played with him before but his reputation seems to precede him. I did think twice about it when I heard his name , but I like the other guy in the group.

Just get ready to shoot five shots worse when you play

Good Luck
