An Alabama runningback coming up the middle against a blitzing Charleston Southern safety?
Yes, please.
Yes, please.

Not as many over paid players that complain of making 7-8 figures a year.

Defense and quarterback play are, generally speaking, awful in college.
QB play in the NFL is in for a huge change. Just wait until the top passers of today are gone in the next 5 years or so.
That's when I feel like things will really start turning to shite for the NFL. But maybe not.. maybe.. the running game will become more of a focus like it use to be?? who knows?
I think a lot college fans resent the fact that the most talented players go pro earlier. They might claim to follow or root for said player once they leave.. but deep down.. my guess is that the majority don't really give a shite. At least that's what I gather from this board anyway.
Cam Newton may be the exception to that rule though. The Auburn fans ride with that dude no matter what.

Nailed it. Nothing quite like a big time CF game.

Didn't you say "it just means more"?
That might be the worst "point" made in this entire thread.

College football has struggled to get a true champion
Define "True Champion"

I enjoy CFB more than pro football, but the NFL is objectively a much better product

Not sure where you were going with this? Why does that make CFB better than the NFL? That was just a fact, and not sure how it sways anyone.
I like college more because a lot of the fans who watch it have invested in the school and gone to the school. There is something special about the energy of a college game that just seems absent to me at an NFL game.
I think the NFL is better to people who went to schools who are not as successful in college football or who like a more refined game. Part of me likes how unpredictable a kid can be in a huge spotlight (stupid pitchbacks in National Championship games anyone; guys dropping easy catches etc).
Anyway, I don't have 5 reasons. I wait all year for Labor Day weekend once the Buckeyes are out of it. That's enough for me

It just means more, especially when it goes over your head.

I agree with defense being awful in college, but disagree about quarterback play.
Many of the college offenses are designed to take decision making out of the hands of the qb. So while almost none of your college qb's are operating at the level of a Peyton manning or tom Brady, the end result and statistics are very favorable, and I believe a greater percentage of college teams have quality qb play than NFL teams.
shite, look at all the all time great college qb's that had zero success at the next level. It's a lot easier to play qb in college, and thus easier to succeed.

Clearly it's over my head.
Can you explain how it means more? Or is this just an opinion portrayed as a fact?

I must have missed it. Can you copy and paste the response?

Nah, it's more fun to watch you get bent out of shape over my throw-away reason.
It just means more.

I made four other points, ya know. I threw in the SEC tagline as a gag, and now I know what Gary Larson felt after the reaction he got from "Cow Tools."
Why are you so obsessed with this?
It just means more.

Obsessed? I just asked that you explain why it means more. You deflected and deflected and here we are.
