I never saw Garland play.
Websites say he's morant if morant could shoot better.

Yes, but I root for the Lakers. I'd follow that trade by dealing AD to the Lakers for $50 and an hour with whoever does LeBron James's pedicures.

Honestly, I think that Garland could be a better pro than Morant, but in no way should he be taken over Zion. For instance there was a hypothetical trade recently that was discussed that would net the Pels the 4th and 6th picks or the 2nd pick. I would rather Garland and Hunter over Morant. I may be in the minority with that opinion though.
