So it's gameweek and Tulane is ready to score a 55-3 stomping of McNeese this week according to posters here and some on their message boards. (I'll give some credit on their board. There's a little bit of respect there).

Since I know most of you LSU fans do just about anything to get under the skin of Tulane fans just out of spite alone, I'm hoping for a Rutgers type following this week. SFP is already driving the bandwagon.

According to some Tulane fans around here, this is just a check that McNeese is going to collect and there's no way that they can compete with the "big boys." There's no way McNeese has the athletes even close to comparable to what Tulane has.....they don't recruit the same players. Since this game was announced all I've really read was this was a mistake by Tulane to schedule these guys because it would ruin their SOS (rotflmao:)

I know most of you don't know much about McNeese, but hop on the bandwagon, if it's just only for a week. Besides, there's alot of BR guys some of you may have heard of playing for us now......

Tulane 131
McNeese 2
(tossed the ball out of the endzone with 3 seconds left in the game for pity.)

Yesterday we played like a top 10 team! While we are still a ways away from where we want to be, can't help but think we are on the right path.
We're getting better each and every game and that gives me
great confidence in our prospects.

Here are my top 10 teams

1 Florida (59)
2 Texas
3 USC
4 Alabama
5 Cincinnati
6 Penn State
7 Mississippi
8 California
9 LSU
10 Rutgers

My only concern is the D-line of McNeese, Prom. Other than that I see no reason to think we won't beat them. I am not sure the Tulane fans realize how good our offense is.

Regardless of who they played this week, there was a HUGE difference between the first week and 3rd week. Savannah's RB was 3rd in the nation before this weekend. We held them to 1.7 YPC.

Getting Minor and Pilate back at LB has been huge and that number proves it. I understand the competition difference but the there's been an obvious adjustment.

It's amazing to me that McNeese can put a guy that is 270lbs at DT and be as disruptive as Desmund Lighten is behind the line.

If Todd Pendland doesn't win the Walter Peyton award this year, it's a farce.

I love how people write off McNeese. They beat ULL two seasons ago (or was that last year?), they almost beat North Carolina at UNC to start the season last year. They beat Appy St. at Appy St. two weeks ago. Last week they won 56-0. Now I'm not saying they could hang with the Tigers or anything, but I bet they'd be able to do what another state team can not against the Tigers, score a TD. Tulane better watch its arse this Saturday.

ETA: Tulane 17
McNeese 31

I think you just counted and ate every egg in the basket. You're looking way too far ahead. Conference first.

FWIW, I hope Tulane beats them to a pulp and all of the McNeese players have severe injuries by the end of the game.
