If we win 7 of our last 12 I don’t see any way we’re not a top 8 seed. Us playing A&M, Tennessee, and Arkansas in 9 of those 12 will make that not a given.
on the same page. Imo we go 7-5 in those games and get a top 8

2-1 Tennessee
1-2 @A&M (season over according to Rant)
2-1 Arkansas
2-1 @USC (19-11; top 8 seed lock)

is A&M terrible too because they lost some games in March to good teams?

They were terrible. Getting better but they are playing much better competition than Miami. Miami was getting beat by teams outside the top 75. They lost a weekend series to UCONN. They went0-4 against a mediocre Wake team. Lost to Stetson as well. Those aren’t good teams.

The amount at which they lost is hurting them a lot more than the teams they lost to. They have like 2 bad losses.

So Kentucky is a top 4 SEC team now that they beat Tennessee at their place? Are you saying it’s only right to look at the previous weekend to determine strength of team?

I mean if you put just the SEC and ACC teams into the NCAA tournament, you'd have a hell of a field.

The idea isnt about the last weekend, its about you can lose at any point in either conference, to any team.

At any point as in 11/14 games in March. That’s fricking terrible

them and Miami are right next to each other in RPI. Both are firm postseason teams at this point

Does the committee use ELO for seeding?

Basically we’re 12-6 SEC, go .500 ball rest of the way we’re 18-12
Any better than that to 19-11 or 20-10
Top 4 SEC most likely, The SEC is by far the best conference in CB. The mid in conference is better than top half of any other conference. It’s going to be close to get Top 8 but if we can just play above .500 over the next 12 we might get it.

The committee uses rpi only. Which is unfortunate

That's pretty stupid. A&M was preseason #1. They had a very rough start, even worse than us last year. A good weekend this coming weekend will put them right at .500. They are definitely hot and playing up to their potential. Will be interesting to see how they match up against Texas.

They just won series against 2 top 10 teams on the road. No they don’t. They started the season really really bad but are probably the hottest team in the country right now

They've made quite a turnaround after a rough start which I'm glad to see because I don't want Arteaga to get fired
