No it never has prevented you from Covid. It’s prevented you getting the drastic reactions from it. It’s like a flu shot

Does the vaccine prevent COVID infection? If so, how does one test positive after being vaccinated?
No, it does not prevent an infection.

Then what’s the fricking point ?!?!
And if Vandy’s entire team I s vaccinated, then what is the problem?

The point of the vaccine was to stop the hospitals being over run and to stop you from having the massive respiratory issues
Again it is just like when you take a flu shot yearly.
The problem is the NCAA doesn’t want to get sued and when they made the policy in Fall/Summer 20 people had no clue what was going on. They set policy and stuck to their guns, wrongly. But they are being consistent with their enforcement even though it’s too heavy of a price.

I never had massive respiratory issues
I never got the vaccine
This shite is just comical at this point.

Good for you. And you don’t believe the hospitals were never overrun at any point? Interesting

In the US? Not anytime after the summer.
Did you know a study has been done and the government was a part of it. Last spring, 5 of 6 covid infections went undiagnosed or counted. The death rate and hospital rate was way lower than they first claimed to scare everyone.

North Carolina is full of pussies. That’s no secret

If this happened to LSU, I would probably not be able to accept “No” as an answer
This is getting ridiculous. What exactly would you expect them to do? Take some hostages and force the game to be played as a ransom?

Being a teacher and our principal making us go to kids homes and bring kids in to stop the slide the hospital angle was over dramatized by some. But I’m telling you why they made the vaccine and the reaction that initially overran some hospitals.
The idiocy of this whole thing is the NCAA Health and NATA not listening to studies other than what they want to hear. You can judge why yourself.
I find it crazy that the NATA did not conduct its own unbiased study. They took the insurance lobby and political stance and jobbed the ones they’re supposed to serve

When a hospital has to cancel all surgeries, build new icu's, convert ticu and sicu into medical icu's, and pacu into icu's.
Those are what I call issues. That's not normal. You cannot think that would be sustainable.
In nola, we were getting patients from all over Louisiana because smaller hospitals cannot handle those patients.
That being said there's only a few perfect or near perfect (smallpox and polio for example). Covid, flu cannot and will not ever be perfect due to the nature of their ability to mutate the way they do. The vaccine does what it does best, reduces the chance of your dying from it to nearly 0. Reduces transmission too

Well we know the testing has been bullshite from Day 1.

They were bad. But our district decided to screw it just wear masks try stay 6 ft apart. Do best you can and we were told don’t bitch on social media or go visit HR for an exit interview
Then late April when Hutchison removed mandate our board said no masks
Fayetteville and Bentonville went full retard.

Agreed! It’s pretty obvious by some of these comments that many people are out of touch with healthcare. In particular, how and why covid is handled a certain way.
