she gets $250,000 her lawyers $700,000. Lawsuit was over how FSU mishandled the case not any actual proof of rape.

lulz go back to the politard board talking about ethnic cleansing. It's what you're best at.

It's not ethnic cleansing if they aren't people.

The entire situation was mishandled. But at a certain point it comes down to a he/she said situation.

So FSU pays $950,000, and Jameis has 0 consequences.

Nice.

Not only is FSU paying up, they're creating rape prevention programs even though they claim innocence:

quote:

FSU agreed to pay Kinsman $950,000 – an amount that includes attorney’s fees – as well as make a five-year commitment to awareness, prevention and training programs. The lump sum is the largest settlement for Title IX claims regarding indifference to a student’s sexual assault.

That really isn't an earth shattering amount of money. Especially when you think about lawyer fees. I'm pretty sure FSU just wants to put this entire situation behind them as quickly as possible.

settling for nearly a million and yet you say your guy is innocent.

hmmm.. this doesn't seem like good ethics.. will more girls later claim rape by athletes?

Looks like Auburn got a good deal with only 180k. FSU had to drop almost a mil. Damn.
