There was a fully equipped ambulance there. AEDs on sidelines.( lots of older overweight high risk coaches on the sidelines) I doubt many witnessed cardiac arrests get such a prompt response.

Dr. David Chao was on a Sirius NFL network show today talking about injury protocols during games and what types of equipment are available and what types of personnel are present. He used to be a team doctor for the Chargers and it was a pretty good discussion. A major point he made was that unless you are physically in a hospital at the time of a cardiac incident the best place (if you can call it that) to be is at an NFL game because of the staff on hand and equipment available in each stadium.

Ok I’ve been going down a rabbit hole on this after hearing about commodio cortis last night. Do all high schools have AEDs at football and baseball games (at least)?
It seems like they should be everywhere. They’re like $1,500.
