I, like a number of you folks, didn't mind Sekac. He was okay. Good hands and speed. Limited offensive results. Again, he's a rookie playing in the third line role.
This trade sort of reminds me of the Diaz-Weise deal. A finesse European (free agent) for a (Canadian) grinder who should contribute during the playoffs.
Pelly-Smith provides the Habs with size/grit without them wasting a roster spot on a one dimensional thug. I think MB has another move coming soon.

Well at the rate Bergy is going, that means we'll be losing Tinner or Drewiske for an aging blueliner.
This team has a serious deficiency at center. And nobody wants to look at it.
Plekanec is ok.
Chucky just ain't comfortable at center. Prefers the wing.
Desharnais is a grinder but doesn't contribute much offensively
Everybody hates Eller
And Malhotra can just win faceoffs. That's about it

Desharnais has to be kept he is a freakingmachine although the size of the Keebler Elf.
Parenteau better have something really wrong or someone explain why he is out.
DLR is trade bait if Parenteau showed up, but now he is valuable.

PA and SERGEI will be back soon I read yesterday. DLR is a young big center. We need him. Yeah DD is a smurf but a playmaker. Thankfully most smurfs have been purged off the team over the last few years. We now will have more size and grit for the playoffs. Little cammy. Little Gionta. Little briere. All gone.

They were good back in 2010. When we played philly in conference finals. Gomez was a waste of money after that.
