Roster has completely quit on him, and the roster sucks to begin with.

Bulls need to clean house - trade Butler AND Wade, fire Hoidberg, and fire Gar/Pax.

Firing Thibs had to be the worst decision the Bulls made since the Bulls forced out both MJ and Phil.

They make the Kings look like a competent organization.

It's really bad, they'll miss the playoffs for the second straight year. He's a good coach, but Paxton and Forman have given him guys that do not fit his Spread system

Would be a decent fit at LSU. They should offer an interview.

What happened there? Was it because they couldn't beat Miami?

But but Thibs was too hard on Derrick Rose!

The Bulls played 10 players in the first quarter yesterday and scored just 9 points.

I wonder how often in the NBA a team puts more bodies on the court than they do points on the scoreboard in a 12 minute span.

Wouldn't be able to afford him. LSU will never pay a basketball coach more then the football coach.

Hoiberg needs a roster with shooters for his system to work.

They have no shooters.

Sucks for him, but he'll land on his feet somewhere. Great coach

I tend to think this is wrong but I could be giving Alleva too much credit. He's tied at the hip to Orgeron now. A great basketball hire could help his rep.

I'm NOT a fan of the Orgeron hire. He should throw 2.25 at Prohm

Prohm would be an idiot to leave Ames for LSU

That is a great job.

It just became an untenable situation with Thibs.

He was a control freak that coached every game like a game 7 and didn't like players speaking to the media. He clashed with Gar/Pax behind the scenes. There were also stories on local radio about him locking players out of practice if he didn't like their effort.

Really good coach, but he and the organization just got tired of one another.

It will never happen. Just like Stoops will never make near what Cal is making. I'm afraid Musselman maybe your guy.

yup, completely agree.

send butler to Chicago for that lovely Brooklyn pick + pieces

send Wade to SA/LA for whatever since he wants to compete for a ring. hell or keep him it doesn't really matter

yup. Thibs had his flaws offensively and the 'stress' on his players were completely overblown IMHO. dude was a great coach, Minnesota has improved throughout the whole season under him...they're young and loaded with talent. They will make noise VERY soon.

For a guy who has never done a damn thing in his life other than climb the corporate ladder, Gar sure has a big ego. Kick him to the curb please. His "basketball" moves make no sense. At least other GM's have a philosophy. Guys like Morey and Hinkie lived and died with their strategic plan.

Gar makes moves on an individual basis that constantly turn out to be terrible. And it's not like it's hindsight, every person with a brain could see the signing/trade, etc. was dogshit at the time.
