Yup, he belongs to Williams now... whatever "future options" RBR retained, sounds more like a gentleman's agreement between RBR and Williams than anything

Considering Williams is contracted until 2025 with Merc, it raises even more questions as to wtf was really agreed to

The George Russell recommendation might have been stronger than we realize.

I mean, they are best friends and have been for a while... it's no shock George would go to bat for Alex.. especially how George was pissed that RBR let him go

A shirtless George Russell is a force to reckon with when negotiating

Shirtless George Russell probably gave the best damn PowerPoint presentation those Williams bosses have ever seen

Welcome to the thread. Let us get to know you better.

Did you get into F1 because of DTS, or longtime fan?
Who is your favorite driver and/or team?
Lewis or Max?
Should Grid Girls be brought back?

You didn’t ask me, but I got into F1 because I’ve been getting up early with my kids on the weekends, and it was on. I usually wouldn’t watch racing, but have been more interested in different sports the past couple of years. Then I watched the Netflix series, and got hooked.

This is kind of my story...watched off an on due to being up early. Usually watched Monaco then Indy then Coke 600 on Memorial Day weekend...watched DTS and fell in love with the sport.

McLaren fan...mainly Lando b/c RIC annoys me sometimes...but I'll root for him if I have to.

Max over Lewis...

The grid girls should perform the pit stops.

I'm kind of the same. Was peripherally aware of the goings on of F1, knew a lot of the drivers and who were top teams but didn't follow regularly. Got hooked on DTS and started following religiously. I'm a somewhat early riser with a woman who likes to sleep in, so qualifying and the races usually fit perfectly into slot where I'm the only one in the house that's awake.

Agree on all other accounts, except RIC doesn't annoy me (though he can be a bit frustrating this year)

Same for me. My kid wakes up at like 6am everyday for some reason.

My brother has been on me for 15 years or more to watch F1. Then I watch season one of DTS and was hooked. Not a dummy, my brother.

Shirtless George is lining up Albon to be his Merc #2 when Hamilton goes out to pasture after 2024.

Quali tomorrow.

Have some conflicting info. Showing quali should be at 9:30a CST, but ESPN not showing the broadcast until 11a.

I forgot since Silverstone...do drivers gain points on the sprint? Or does it just set the grid for Sunday?

The top 3 in the sprint get 3 pts, 2 pts and 1 pt respectively.
