He wasn’t close to the inside line on that turn. He had a ton of space right of him. He went wider than what he should have.

Look at leclare’s line behind him. He took the corner. Hamilton was nearly in the middle and wasn’t ahead. The announcers said the same thing

Being aggressive is one thing. Taking the middle line in a turn while not ahead is how you cause contact. That’s a penalty.

He was under pressure. Natural to take unusual lines to protect your position. That was Max’s corner.

Yeah the racing line in that corner is on the outside of the apex. Lewis was literally in the middle on the apex, he was behind.
