Your info is rock solid .. and ties in with what I was talking about earlier with sports talk being an overhead heavy format with not enough revenue to turn a profit .. based on the numbers in your post .. they were hemorraging ..

Jimmy and Gordy have had issues in the past .. but that may be water under the bridge .. but I've heard bad things about him and his access to covering LSU, which would kill him with Guaranty ..

Krysan never had a chance and destroyed his last shred with his Miles to Michigan, Pelini to LSU done deal fiasco on WJBO after last year's cotton bowl .. He rolled the dice on his career and lost ..

I hope Ott and Jordy make it somewhere soon... 104.5 would be good... would be nice to hear them on FM, and I'll help either one get at least one more sponsor than they had.
I'm not a die hard fan of either, but I'd rather listen to them than pretty much anything else on BR radio.
There's no other local sports I care for... and the nat'l shows don't give LSU and the Saints the coverage that I'd like.

I really think Ott, Songy, and Krysan just need to find other ways to make a living .. it's the end of the line for them in the radio business, sadly .. Bad thing is that I think Buddy's almost 60 years old ..

I hope Ott lands a morning gig at Guaranty, he generally is fairly knowledgeable and doesn't keep giving the same stale takes. Throughout the day I listen to a combination of local and national, but after you've hear one national show you've pretty much heard them all. They keep regurgitating the same crap and are impossible to listen to following any major story.

I can't understand the wanting to capture the "urban" demographic either.......I'm sure the people who listen to sports talk radio have a higher median income than the "urban" audience.
