For those saying brady didn't do anything wrong, why did he apologize?

Ed Reed said Tom Brady called him and apologized for the kick he gave Reed during Brady's second-quarter slide in the AFC Championship. In a radio interview with Glenn Younes, Reed said Brady his not a dirty player, adding, "he called me and apologized and whatnot."

As Brady scrambled late in the second quarter, he kicked his leg up at Reed when he went down on his slide. No one was injured on the play, but it looked suspect. Ravens safety Bernard Pollard accused Brady of trying to kick Reed and called the play "bull crap."
Reed said, "it looked like a kick," but he wouldn't go as far as to blame Brady for the action. "I respect Brady and his game for all that he stands for. I know he's not a dirty player. Emotions get going in a game," Reed said. Although he doesn't hold a grudge against Brady, the play fired Reed up. "It put fuel on the fire to want to play even harder, and hit even harder and just be successful."

To not frick up their free agent recruitment. Or to get a head start on the recruitment. One or Other.

It was the politically correct thing to do in today's NFL.
Don't want to be suspended for any "bounty" hunting.

So as not to have Pollard kill him the next time they play the Ravens.

He knows you shouldn't put the cleats up. So that is wrong and he is apologizing for that. Doesn't mean he had intent to injure. Basically he is saying I didn't try to injure you and was just trying to protect myself but I know I should have kept my cleats down. The interesting part is if there is truly a rule about it in the NFL like baseball.

Brent Musburger had to apologize for saying Katherine Webb was hot and he didnt do anything wrong. Lots of people apologize these days when they dont do anything wrong because people are huge pussies.

Brent didn't make the apology, ESPN did.

Actually, ESPN apologized for that, Brent didnt and said to TMZ that "he didnt do anything wrong". I dont like Brent Musburger but that was pretty boss, espciall when you add in him calling a sideline reporter hot like 4 times the next day

It was probably in response to something dirty that Ed did at some point. It's not as if the Ravens are known for a clean defense. It is one of the reasons that I hate them is because of their dirty defense.

While I agree Pollard is a piece of shite, Ed Reed is a fantastic player and isn't dirty.
