I don't know, a playoff loss or a SB loss is pretty painful IMO. shite, even a loss in the regular season that kills your playoff hopes is pretty painful.

And if I was a longtime Saints fan, I'd feel this is more special or at least pretty close to the LSU national title in 03. I'm still in shock the Saints even made it, much less won it. I know there used to be a time in BR when a national title seemed like it would never happen, but by 03 I was in a frame of mind that it would eventually happen and happen a few times. I never would have thought the Saints would do it.

100% agree. The Saints victory was amazing, but still behind 2003 LSU

The 2003 LSU National Championship was more special to me. I was a freshman at LSU and was in the Superdome. Not to take anything away from last night though, the Saints SB win is close to it.

depends on who you are. some people are bigger NFL fans so yes it does hurt when your team loses. i remember the bullshite tuck rule that robbed the raiders against the pats. i was pretty freaking hurt for a while

I will say I don't know if the Saints was the most fun though.

I would put UGA 03 in there above 07 NC. This is purely a personal thing though, and it lets me make my real point. I feel like the [personal] circumstances surrounding each event really play a role. I was a freshman in 03 (and it was around NYE, just got initiated, etc), whereas I am basically at the beginning of my professional career now. The 03 NC (and the UGA game) were more exciting for me because of those circumstances. Other than the Porter pick, I was pretty subdued after the game, other than my endless crowing about winning 160 bucks. However, going downtown, seeing the collective reaction of the city, the SB win means much more to me as a NOLA resident. They're just completely different feelings.

ETA: The UF 07 game is right up there too, that was APESHIT.

Wow great question, and something I am sure many have asked themselves over time, and especially in recent years. I never thought I would see LSU win 1 in football much less 2, and I thought it would be a long time if ever the Saints would do it. So for me I guess they are equal, the first one in 2003 and the SB. The difference is for me at least, is that I really felt that LSU would win that game in 03, for yesterday I hoped it and prayed about it, but there was some doubt, so I am more over joyed for the SB win.

That Final Four run was awesome. I'd probably put it above the 2007 NC, but definitely behind 2003 and 2010
