This makes much more sense...I'm guessing Wrigley just wasn't big enough for this type of configuration.

Sort of. I wish BSU could find a way to grow real grass that sports a blue hue. I think that'd be pretty awesome. Blue turf sucks Not because of its color but because it's fake grass.

2 questions:
Why is Gameday going to this shite?

Because it's a rare college football game at one of the most iconic venues of all of sports.

Is this really safe for the players?

They're from the Big Ten. No one is fast enough to run through the endzone.

I wish gameday would have gone to the Bronx. Army is bowl eligible for the first time in a while...I'm always for an excuse to tip our collective hat to the service academies.

I think the Yankee Stadium one looks more stupid. The best one is Pac Bell/AT&T/whatever it's called now. The Emerald Bowl's there, and it's a really nice setup.

I think the ACC championship game should be at Fenway park. Attendance would probably double.

would it really be worth the extra $200 to rent out Fenway Park though?

Douches did this in a bowl game a few years back. It was cal vs Miami and I think it was either in San Francisco or in San Diego.

The ACCCG has nothing to lose.

In all honesty, though, the ACCCG should be at the home stadium of the top division winner. That would guarantee a packed house.

The game is in Charlotte this year, if I'm not mistaken, and it looks to be Virginia Tech and Florida State--and even that might not be a sellout. What's worse is that there's a chance that Maryland and Miami play in the ACCCG; would 40,000 show up? Probably not.
