But is there a difference between beating #10 on the road or #1 at home? I think that is a much closer argument for sure.

For example, is OSU's win @ Michigan State as impressive as Alabama's win at home against Miss. St? Are they comparable or not?

Couple that with a loss at home to a horrible VTech team vs. a loss on the road against a top 5 team, then how do you feel?

I feel that if the committee is going to forgive teams for injuries (Oregon), then why not forgive a young team with 6 new starters out of 7 guys inside the hashes.

I wasn't using the MSU/Miss. St. comparison as a comparison between OSU/Bama. I was just saying is a win on the road against a top 10 team comparable with a win at home against a top 3(5?) team?

The problem is people let their own bias influence each point on a resume.

A win at LSU means something completely different to an SEC fan, a Big 12 fan, and a pac 12 fan.

LSU has a history of packing it in when the season turns south, there's a very good chance they'll finish the season unranked but who here thinks Ohio State or TCU would be able to win @LSU at night?

Just like a win over Miami in November is much stronger than a win over Miami in September with a true freshman QB.

If you want to forgive a team for injuries then get in line, every team has injuries.

Is Oregon missing a Tackle a harder injury to overcome than Bama missing their Center and #2 RB?

You can't factor injuries into the equation every team deals with them it's unfair to slight a team because they haven't had injuries...

Glad injuries count. BAMA is undefeated as well.

Oregon was missing three starting offensive lineman and their no.1 WR.

They have gotten 1 tackle back and the difference between who they were against Michigan State and against UCLA till now is night and day with who they were against WSU and Arizona.

ETA - That is what the committee is taking into account when determining where Oregon stacks up amongst 1-loss teams.

me. TCU 4/10 times and Ohio State 7/10. And thats if the Tigers came to play like they did against Bama. They wouldn't. So it would be more like TCU 6/10 times and Ohio State 8/10.

Everybody has their rivalry games. Thats part of the schedule. Ohio State beating Michigan is going to be harder than some of these other teams beating Michigan.

Ohio State would definitely win @LSU at night. They did it against a better team in Michigan State, and I think they're a bad match up for LSU.

FSU had 3 wins against Clemson, FSU, Louisville when they were ranked. Unfortunately those 3 are no longer top 25

you mean ND?

Anyways, kinda unlucky for FSU that Clemson lost starting Qb, Lville lost starting QB and ND lost top tackler all since they played the Noles.

Could end up costing FSU a #1 seed if they win out.

Neither LSU nor A&M are teams ranked at the moment or teams that should be considered great teams to have beaten this year.

Ohio State had the 2nd youngest line in the country in terms of starts and lost their starting 2 time Big Ten player of the year for the season.

Why aren't they getting a pass?
