I've seen refs call a technical foul on high school kids with under a second left in a state championship game.
But they let a college assistant coach run out the the lane to celebrate with 1.1 seconds left and no technical?

Saw it a couple of times in some of the conference tournaments too
They never make the call. You almost need to have a player run into one of them to even try it

Pretty absurd, but they did go to review the clock and added .1 seconds back so they probably would have reviewed that regardless (and maybe NC St called timeout).
Also, listening to Dickie V and Charles Barkley call a game sounds like it should be a good time… but that was awful.
