The subpoena was issued earlier this month from the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California in Los Angeles. Federal agents visited Indianapolis for several days this month, according to two people with knowledge of the investigation, and interviewed multiple people who were close to Irsay over the final years of his life. These people spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to publicly discuss the investigation.

A spokeswoman for the FBI’s field office in Los Angeles did not immediately reply to a request for comment Thursday. The Beverly Hills Police Department, which initially investigated Irsay’s death, has not been contacted by the FBI, a department spokesman said.

Colts Chief Legal Officer Dan Emerson, in a phone interview Thursday, said the team is aware of the investigation but has not been served with a subpoena or contacted by the FBI.

“I do understand that there have been some subpoenas provided, but not to me, the Colts or any of our current employees,” said Emerson, who declined to comment further.

Officials are investigating the death of Irsay and the doctor that provided him with prescription pain medication as well as ketamine towards the end of his life, according to The Washington Post. The FBI is researching Irsay's "substance [illegal and prescription] use," and his "relationship with Dr. Harry Haroutunian," who is a prominent addiction specialist. Agents reportedly visited Indianapolis this month and interviewed multiple people who were close to Irsay before his death.

Considering his use of recreational drugs? His tox screen results are probably longer than a GRR Martin novel

Given the sudden onset of his severe symptoms and the absence of any plausible detailed public explanations one could easily wonder about uncommon medical causes. Poisoning definitely comes to mind.

Also I would imagine his toxicology report should be publicly retrievable.

That's like when Michael Jackson fricked over his special doctor by dying.

Even though having a personal doctor usually leads to a premature death due to overtreating (to justify the guy's job).

I believe they all are post-death. Hell, they use city dollars to do the autopsy.

There usually isn't.

It's only when there's evidence of foul play, or if it's unexpected and you want to know WTF happened.
