Nick Jr. was in our fringe friend group in high school (dated a girl in my grade at EHS that was in our friend group) and he was definitely a pot head. We ripped bowls together a few times.
I have never heard about any crime getting covered up though, except the golf cart incident at LSU golf course. He drove one into the concrete ravine and they didn't do anything to him because of his dad. That one is true.
His dad also drug tested him a lot, which he would cheat to pass, and would freak the frick out on him when he found dip cans in his car.

Here is one that I heard personally but have never seen it anywhere else.
When I was in the Army we had a Lt. Colonel that was an Alabama graduate. Class of 91. He had his Bama diploma in his office with football memorabilia and all that. Claimed he was a walkon linebacker. He told me straight up that Bobby Bowden showed up to a team meeting in 89 and said he was gonna be their next coach and then Stallings was hired about a week or 2 later.
