What was the basis behind it? Just the performance of the team? You would think if it was true somebody like a walkon or GA would of spilled the beans by now.

Additional rumor was that Lee was suspended for something and that's why he didn't play.

Nah. They definitely were the GOAT LSU team and while they weren't more talented or better schematically than many other teams they ran a gauntlet that backed up that argument. They finished with wins over the #1, 4, 5 teams in the final poll.

I didn't want to go the PED route because no one cares about tennis, but Rafa Nadal had a couple of injury breaks through the years that seemed very fishy (Yannick Noah said all Spaniards are dopers). Djokovic used to have all kinds of asthma and endurance problems, then started using pressurized eggs and became one of the fittest athletes sport has ever seen. And I'm a Fedtard, but old guys have never played as well as him. Tennis is probably a PED playground.

Another good one was when Miami was trying to get in the ACC. The rumor was if they didn’t get in that Miami and FSU were gonna recruit USF, UCF, FIU, and FAU to create the FloCON.
