Count me in this group. Especially since the rise of smart phones and being able to read and post from a phone. I used to go to other boards a lot and once I found TD, it was like heaven. I still frequent some of the Auburn forums, but TD has the best format and it ain't even close.

I lurked for around a year before I made an account. I was really really young. Was searching the web for history of Arkansas football rivalries and kept getting threads leading back to the SEC rant and tiger rant. It was just a short click away from the MSB then.

I think it likely has a lot to do with Chicken being way more lenient when it comes to banning posters who say unpopular things.

A lot of other school specific boards bring out the ban hammer with quickness for what is either a relatively minor trolling infraction or for simple not agreeing with their board echo chamber.

Take TexAgs for example. It's a pretty massive CFB message board but it's owner and mods are overly sensitive to any kind of criticism, perceived trolling, or difference of opinion. I once got a month long time out over there for simply calling Dennis Franchione a "Little Debbie Lover" (he was once seen on the sidelines eating them in a blowout loss) during one of his many vomit inducing coaching efforts. Any time I don't slurp sunshine and rainbows I get reported as an anti A&M troll for the crime of not having an AgTag which to get I have to give them my real name and info on when I graduated. Yeah not gonna give out my info for board jewelry. How the frick are you going to grow your board with fans of other schools if you ban your own hardcore fan base for stupid shite like that?

Hell, I wouldn't be shocked if Liucci has people IP banned who bruise his ego when he gets called out for being wrong while here Chicken let's you get away with quite a bit of shite talk before even sending you a note to cool it. People trash LarryLeo all the time for his creeping on women posts and never is there a person who gets the boot for it. Meanwhile at TA they would ban people for circulating stories about a panhandling skeez who went by the online handle Jorts b/c he had befriended Looch and worked his way onto a TexAgs Radio spot.(that at least eventually came to an end b/c he burned too many people with his bullshite)

Long story short (too late) TD keeps fans from other fanbases b/c Chicken is a cooler board operator than most.
