It seems like anybody above the AD (and maybe even the AD) has a pretty easy out by saying something like: "We were actively investigating this situation.... taking great care to be fair to all parties involved....."

When things suddenly went to shite on 12/10. We were shocked and saddened to hear of these developments.

ETA: This is not to defend the Michigan admins. Just saying it seems like it's going to be their position.

frick those holier than thou teams in the Big 10. They sure love to posture in the media while allowing doctors and coaches to molest kids and covering up rapes

If Michigan made the playoffs nothing would have happened

Maybe not immediately, but the whole affair(s) and wife/mistress situation would have still been out there in existence.

It seems like it would have blown up one way or the other at some point -- based on what happened yesterday.

maybe so but i think there is a better chance it goes away somehow if Michigan made the playoff...or if he was highly thought of as a HC. Harbaugh had to be violating clauses of his contract

Again, why are you assuming he was fired after going nuts?

The timeline to me is he was fired, THEN went suicidal?

How do we not have an official timeline at all right now?

Furthermore, again the university had things like camera footage, phone records, etc. It’s very unlikely there was 0 evidence of this.

There’s been internet talk for over a week now about this. It’s been known.

I'm aware it's bullshite on their part. I was just guessing what their chosen defense/trying to get out of this situation is going to be.

Then I hope they didn't talk about any conclusions, knowledge, incidents, etc, on texts or emails. I expect someone will be filing FOIA requests for those sort of communications looking for a coverup.

It wouldn't be the first time someone said something digitally and got caught.
