They had a show on all time greatest dunkers in NBA history and the top was a total joke.

I believe it went:

1. Jordan (no business being this high)
2. Dr J.
3. Dominique
4. Vince Carter
5. Clyde Drexler

The true list should read:

1. Nique
1a.Carter
3. Dr J
4. Shawn Kemp"
5. David Thompson

Thoughts?

Your list is fine minus Shawn Kemp. I liked the way he dunked, but he wasn't the most creative.

I appreciated the authority with which he threw his dunks down. It was intimidating and certainly more impressive than Clydes one handed dunks.

Shawn Kemp blew at dunk contests. Despite being the favorite, he never came close to winning. "My hands are too small".

1.Wilkens
2.Carter
3.Jordan
4.Darryl Dawkins
5.Spud Webb

Sorry but I've never been impressed with any dunk Dr. J ever did. Look how long his arms are and how tall he is. Spudd was much more impressive imo.

That's like saying I was never that impressed with anything Michaelangelo painted. I don't think I can possibly ever take anything you say seriously ever again.

Dr. J is my basketball messiah.

I still contend that Dr Js dunk in the finals over Cooper was the best game dunk in NBA history.

I stopped watching this once I realized Vince Carter wasn't number one. No one was better than Carter when it came to dunking.

Wilkens & Dr. J

BTW-during a game I would take Kevin Johnson over Spud Webb

Are you kidding? He didn't dunk over Cooper at all. I just watched the video and Cooper didn't even have his hands up

I watched it as well. Espn will forever be attached to Jordan's jock. List IMO should be:

1. Carter
2. Wilkens
3. Dr. J
4. Jordan
5. Kobe/Lebron

Any list should include Drexler in the top 5...and I'm not even considering the dunk contest stuff...doing in a game = much more impressive.

LINK

ETA...The video shows dunks over Robinson, Sampson, Bol and Cartwright...all considerably bigger guys.
