He dribbled with his head down, had virtually no left hand and had that heel kick on his J. He was a really unique player. Rating him vs guys like T-Mac and Nique is interesting.

Drexler was a SF in college & converted to SG in the NBA so his "handles" weren't slick. I don't remember Drexler turning the ball over despite his perceived limitations.

Drexler had legit 27/7/7 playoff runs & led the Blazers to 2 NBA Finals & won as a #2 ,but gets docked because of dribbling aesthetics & his low-key demeanor?

Give me the 2007 Pistons over the 1991 Pistons 10 of 10 times.

Isiah and Dumars were slightly ahead of Billups/Rip, but it's close.

Ben/Sheed/Prince vs elderly Laimbeer/Aguirre and Rodman is a slaughter. Rodman was in his DPOY defensive prime, as was Ben. Sheed and Prince are light years better than Laimbeer and Aguirre.

f LeBron pulled off a championship this year with a great playoffs

Getting past the Clippers and a historically great Bucks team would be remarkable. Doing so at this age might be one of his best accomplishments in my eyes.

That's why I would rather wait and see.

LeBron's 2018 playoffs may have been his most impressive ever. I thought he might have been in decline until he threw that down.

If he had another 2018 and the Lakers won...look, this will always be a heated debate, but that's a heck of a resume builder.

You are acting like Jordan played the "Bad Boy Pistons" every year. He lost to them twice, then beat them after that Detroit was garbage. Even back in the 90's everyone thought the East was the weaker conference. This is just another exapmple of you trying to belittle James and his accomplishments.

No I am not acting like anything. I know how many times he played the pistons. there was always at least one worthy team mike had to go through to get to the finals. Probably half of lebrons finals there was no worthy opponent in the east. It was an utter cake walk.

Just googled to see what Detroit’s writers consider to be the best pistons squad. Not surprisingly it was the one that mike faced by a landslide.

You saying the billiups backcourt is even close to the one with Thomas dumars and microwave may be the biggest reach in the thread.

Really?

Detroit beat writers thought the 1991 Pistons were better than the 89 or 90 NBA champs or the 2004 NBA champs?

Yes. The best pistons teams ever were the group lead by Zeke. That is not a surprise to anyone who watched both groups.

The fallacy you're embracing is that the 1991 version of the Pistons was as good as the previous 4 years.

Like I said, there's a reason that team went from 59 wins in 1990 to 50 in 1991.

And Jordan and the Bulls lost to them twice.

there could be any number of reasons. The warriors won less games after adding Durant. Were they worse? Of course not. They were not focused on being a regular season team at that point. The goal was title. You sacrifice regular season wins for a better shot at a title.once you are an established contender the regular season means less and less.

Well, they also weren't very good in the playoffs, if that's your measuring stick.

Yes he did. He was still toughening his guys up at that point. He got in the weight room and came back and beat them. He didn’t run to Boston to team up with Larry and mchale in order to beat them. Like what bron did when he went make a super team.

Losing to mike in a sweep isnt the worse thing in the world. Just like it wasn’t the worse thing in the world for lebron to not even put up a fight against golden state. Sometimes you are just outclassed.

i love how you keep falling back on this excuse but the 91 Pistons were not nearly as good as the 87-90 versions, but that's still only 1 time. After 91 the Bulls and Jordan did not play a single team in the EC or NBA Finals that had or would win a title
