It's sad that people don't understand that threads like this are the reason why she won't be fired.

I'm sure espn management is searching the MSB to find out who their most hated personality is to make sure they keep her.

I mean I doubt that this thread has any influence, but he's not totally off base on what he said

quote:

King’s team began using the social media monitoring software last year as part of a strategy to move SportsCenter, which broadcasts live for 14 hours a day, away from a commodity newscast involving scores and highlights and toward a chattier format that more closely resembles talk radio and cable news. In 2015 he installed Van Pelt, one of ESPN’s radio stars, in the midnight slot, as a competitor to traditional late-night fare. Along with highlights and updates, Van Pelt delivers straight-to-camera commentary à la Jon Stewart. If Van Pelt thinks that, say, too many NFL teams are relocating, he says so. Viewership of the midnight SportsCenter is up about 6 percent since 2015, according to Nielsen, even as other editions have seen their audiences shrink.

I mean, she isn’t hideous, but I don’t see what all the fuss is about

Maybe if I were 40-50 years old, but I just don’t see it

ETA - she looks like she could be dot’s (from dot’s diner) daughter

The article said SC will be hard hit and she hosts SC like twice a week and nothing else. Probably has a big salary from tenure too. Might be time to get the goodbyes in.

Svp joining Russillo the other day seemed like a sending off episode.

I think you will some of the broads gone.

Michelle Beadle has kind of worn out her usefulness. They have about 20 of her now, who are better looking.

They aren't getting rid of the SC6 crew, unless one of them or both gets a show on cnn/msnbc/etc

Linda Cohn is old enough to be a lot of us posters' mom. But she has aged well like a fine wine.
