Denver needs Billups and McDyess toughness and Detroit has enough D to mask AI's weakness? All of them are past their peaks..

Not as big a trade to get anyone riled up as it would've been in past years, but interesting still.

they really love stuckey and billups is on the hook for another 40 mill.

they have a shot to be a player in FA next year, and start developing some young talent, while still being a contender and making the playoffs this year.

i actually like the move and see the reasoning for doing the trade for both teams.

no doubt it works for both. the pistons begining to clear the books is a good move, might be a little premature but it was going to happen eventually anyway and denver is a serious contender now

Denver still plays "ole" defense, Billups doesn't do enough to chang that. Much more interesting from the Detroit side. Den could really use Camby now.

I don't think they end up keeping dice. He'll be yet another of injury plagued pf's that can't get up and down the floor.

No doubt. Besides opening up space, I think it gives the Pistons a legitimate shot to come out of the East this year. I don't think they could score enough with Billups.

Dumars was really down on B B B Billups after last season's playoffs.

I think it's a win/win for both teams - but especially for the Nuggets.

Stuckey is a younger version of Chauncey...

AI is a one year experiment. With him and Sheed out the door next year, they will not only have talents but cap space for the FA class of '10.

Smart, smart move. With this roster they can still contend for an Eastern Conference Championship, and it is cost effective and best for the team in the future. Stuckey is getting ushered into the PG position by two of the best in the business and it will only make it better for their PG of the future.

They already signed Maxwiell to a contract extension too. Its works out. Rip is also mentoring Affalo.

By 2010, barring no free agent pick ups they have:

Stuckey
Affalo
Prince
Maxiwell
Johnson

As their starting core. Dumars is a genius.
